Fiza's Life: True Passion...

People always says that true passion is something that you really loves and good at. I always thought my true passion is with money and numbers. That's why I think a great path for me to go into would be in Auditing. I like to find out other people's mistakes. I love questioning the 'why's?' and 'where's?'. Maybe. Who knows right. I'm still waiting for the Big 4 or maybe the 5th firm; BDO to call me for an interview. If my path is with them, I'm sure I'll get in. I got a missed called from KPMG at 6.30pm on Friday. I would call them on Monday to see if they're calling me for an interview or not. Cuz they promised me they would called me last week. But they still havent. Apparently the HR is still processing my application. So long.. Maybe I'll start working in April.

Anyways, I think I'm somewhat gifted in Baking. Cewah.. hehe. Why do I say this? Maybe because ever since I was small I used to help my Grandmother bakes. She used to bakes all kinds of cakes and biscuits and cookies. She sells them. She even did classes. She was known for her Raya cookies, Chocolate cake, Layered cake and Butter cake. Nowadays she only sells to her loyal customers.

So yesterday, my hands were itching to bake. I decided to ask my mom to go to the baking shop to buy some baking stuff for MACAROONS and RED VELVET. I saw the recipes in the Food Ideas magazine I bought from Perth in January and February edition. My mom was flying off to Sydney last night. So she begged me to bake the macaroons as soon as we reached home so that she could try some because she was going to be away til next sunday.

With the curious mind I baked the macaroons. People say that you need to try the recipe more than once to know the right texture. My mom tried making it once but it didn't set. The mixture that I made with the recipe given looks like it's not gonna set so I went and 'hentam' with putting in extra almond meal. I called it "Sweet Heart Macaroons" by Fiza because I did some changes with the recipes. :)

hehe, looks ok right? It's a bit too sweet for my taste actually the filling wasn't what I expected. I'm going to try again sometimes this week to make my own filling. I used the basic macaroon recipe. I'm going to try and do macaroons like they sell in Whisk at Empire. Who knows I might do better macaroons than them. ;)

Oh ya, and today I did Red Velvet Cupcakes. Just because I was bored. I'm at home with Kak Mas. I thought I wanted to go follow my daddy jalan2. But he wanted to go to Rawang and he didn't offer me to come along. So since I've got nothing to do. I decided to try the other recipe I saw from the Food Ideas magazine.
