Let me give you an example, a person who has never have a serious relationship might think of a relationship as pretty and beautiful and amazing like Cinderella waiting for her prince charming to take her on the back of a carriage.
I actually have met a few people who thinks that you'll always be happy in a relationship. As long as there is trust and compromise. You will be fine.
But really, do you think that it's true. I bet you everyone will fight in a relationship at least once. I mean is there a person in this world that would just follow whatever the significant other ask he or she to do? Like 100%? I don't think there is anyone out there like that. If there is, I would like to meet them.
I know I tried once to be whatever that my significant other ask me to because he thought that I would be better off following his advice. However after a while, I really think that it's hard because sometimes I might want to do things for myself but then I can't do it because then it will violate his trust or whatsoever even when I do not do anything bad at all.
Sometimes I think it is so hard to find a significant other that can really understand you. Compromising is quite hard as well if you and your significant other does not stand in the same social level. Either one would feel threatened by the other and hence this might be one of the hardest sacrifice that a person would have to make in order to make the relationship work.
From my experience, if a relationship consists of two people who are really different. For example, a girl who is a nerd and doesn't go out with a guy who is outgoing and popular. Such a cliche right? I just realize that it's the storyline for every chick flick. The popular guy always go for a nerd girl who is pretty but doesn't show it bla bla bla.. Anyhow, back to our discussion, in the end the girl always ended up being more outgoing and less nerdy and the popular guy will go out less and be less of a jerk. I mean I see it in movies, but when I think about it, I really think that it does happen in real life.
I suppose I should be lucky to have a guy who changed so much from a player who goes out at night partying everyday with different girls to a guy who does not go out with girls anymore and is trying to build a stable life for his future. There is a saying that people can have a change of heart when they find something in life that they look forward to. I know it is still too early for me to say anything about my future, seeing that I will still need to have a stable job and still need to enjoy my life before going to the next stage of life but I just hope that you will always going to be there for me at the end of the day. Insya-Allah.
This post is dedicated to Faiz Rashid (Dudedowh). I know we always don't meet things eye to eye but hopefully we'll work things out soon and when I come back home, things will get better for us.
Don't you guys think sometimes a person just rambles on and on in a blog post? I could write more but I think I have to go to bed soon... So I'm gonna go.
"Distance, it is a test of love, many will fail, but for those who can withstand it have the answer: true love."
